This past weekend Jess and I took the kiddos to the park for a picnic and some playtime. It was gorgeous weather out and we just couldn't get enough of it! Elise really enjoyed the swing!;) that baby loves to move!! I feel like she'll be crawling in no time. She is always rolling to her tummy and is trying get up on her knees! Gotta keep up with her big bro you know!

I can't believe this boy is 2&1/2!! Wow time flies. James especially loves going to the park. He loves the slide, swings and chasing squirrels!
**
**
Our park has all these little bridges and creeks. James loves running across the bridges as fast as he can and is always trying to get as close to the water as possible without actually standing in it! Mom almost had a heart attack every time!;)

Sunday I had a big craving for funnel cake. I had pinned a simple recipe for them awhile back so I thought I'd give it a try. Wow, they were good!  But of course after the first bite or two the oil and smell (weird I know) turned my tummy so jess and james had to help me out and eat the rest!;) this pregnacy the sickness part has seemed to hang on longer than with my other two?:/

This isn't the most recent bump picture. We were about 14&1/2 weeks. I am now 16+ weeks. My little Irish twins though! Ugh I can't wait to see them together!! I bet they'll be best of buds!! I think my favorite part of this pic is james trying to make the grand escape out the door!;)
How far along: 16+ weeks
How much weight gained: 5 lbs (plus still had a couple extra pounds from Elise. YIKES!)
Belly button on or out: In
Maternity clothes: Yep
Baby gender: should find out the 28th. I'm guessing boy.
Looking forward to: seeing baby on the ultrasound
Miss anything: my old clothes:( but ESP my energy. It's gone and nowhere to be found this pregnancy. It's all I can do to make it to naptime!
Well I think that's all for now! Happy hump day!!

SURPRISE having to do with the number 3

Jess and I got some rather unexpected news about 7 or so weeks ago. We found out that we are expecting our THIRD baby this coming September, the 28th to be exact. It definitely through me off my game for awhile. I think I didn't actually beleive it until we went to the dr last week for an ultrasound. There it was, an itty bitty bean baby with a beating heart and everything. My heart mealted and I think I can say now that I am getting excited!!
Having babies 11&1/2 months apart will probably have it's challenges but more than that I think it wil be a bigger blessing than I even can realize. I'm just excited that when the time comes for homeschooling, I can just through Elise and this one in the same grade. Two birds with one stone, right!:D thankfully my morning sickness is starting to let up some so I can feel "Alive" again.:) I so can't wait for spring so we can get out of the house!:)
In other big news this sweet girl is almost 5 MONTHS OLD! Wow time flies! She just melts my heart.

.Annelise started eating a little bit of fruit this past month and LOVES it. She seems like she'll be an eater! I tried rice at first and it backed her up really bad. (I vaguly remember that with James too!:( ) so no more of that icky stuff for awhile.
.she has started rolling from tummy to back. Once from back to tummy. Makes me wonder if I'll have an early crawler?
.she has discovered her hands and feet and likes to watch them!:)
She is just the sweetest and we love her to pieces!

Even though she does LOVE to cry!!;)

And I'll leave with this sweet pic of each of my babies around the same age.(10 weeks, annelise was 8) top is James, left is Elise and right is new baby!:)

James room update

Hello...I thought I'd put up some pics of James "new-ish" room since it's been awhile and we've done some changes
Here's his little bed nook.

His tepee and fireplace/bookshelf. I don't know if I've mentioned it before but Aunt Michelle made him his tepee!

His new chalkboard wall daddy made him. That's about it! I'll try to upload some of A's nursery later because I've done some changing in there too. I'm always so sad to see the Christmas decorations come down! So were trying to find some things to "spruce" things up. We are holding off on valentines day stuff so far. I'm not sure I really even want to put it out this year. Maybe I'll just have James do some fun crafts for his room!:)
We finally got some snow around here yesterday, and I immediately wanted to go downstairs and bring back up all my Christmas stuff (it's not to early for next year is it?;) hope you all are having a cozy and warm winter so far.

 Birth story:
I had been having contractions for a couple weeks up to her birth. Jess went to work in the morning on Saturday(18th) and got home around 12-1. We laid little James down for a nap and I hopped in the tub for a bit. I was not having strong contractions but still a few. I got out and sat in a chair scrolling Facebook waiting for Jess to come upstairs. I had a sharp contraction that felt also like it had broke my water ( kind of would remind you of a pin in a balloon.) at this point Jess had come up and I was going to take a nap. I stood up expecting water to come but nothing. I told Jess I was sure my water would have broke by that contraction and kind of didn't think much more about it. As I went to lay in bed my water broke. This was about 2 pm. I called mom so she could come to watch James and I also started having fairly strong contractions. We made it to the hospital by around 3:30. I was dilated to a 3/4 from a 2 at my last check up. I got up and walked and did some things to try to flip her around as she had been posterior.  I also got in the shower and kneeled down awhile. I think this must have been when she flipped and transition started. Contractions became extremely intense(more so than I remember with James) and I begged for an epidural. This was at about 6-6:30 id say and I was dialated to either 6 or 7. My nurse said it would be awhile before I could have one and I wondered how I could possibly do this for another 3 hours or so. I think my nurse knew I was almost there because at this point she called Dr Boyd to come. She gave me a med in my IV to take the edge off. It did i'd say but Jesse still loves saying the crazy things I said after getting the med!;) I dialated fully by 7:15-7:20 and pushed for 20-30 min and out came baby Annelise! She was 8lbs 7.3oz and 21 in. long. Never got that epidural!;) haha. Praise The Lord for this birth experience. We had a wonderful Dr and he helped things stay calm. Jess was sure a champ too!!;) Love that guy soo much!! We are so thankful to The Lord for everything just going wonderful!

Sleepless nights

Full Term:
Yep, we've officially hit that!! 37,38, and counting...:) I say that as I sit here at 4 in the morning because I can't sleep, due to this or that! I'm really trying to enjoy the end here...the calm before the storm. The big pregnant belly, those little baby kicks in my tummy, just James and mommy time, slee..ya no..that's not happening. At this point though, since I have to be up at night anyhoo, I'd sure rather be cuddling my newborn baby girl!!

Jess and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary this past week! WOW! For some reason it feels like it has been longer! A lot has changed though in these short years..got engaged, bought a house, got married, got pregnant with a baby boy, gave birth, snuggled a newborn, he hit milestones like rolling, then crawling, then walking, James had a first birthday and a second, found out The Lord was blessing us with another baby. Saw and felt another baby growing in my tummy. How can I complain! Life is so fast. These years will be over before you know it. I just pray I can be thankful for the sleepless nights..it gives me more time with these littles that are growing up SO QUICKLY!!
On that note have I mentioned I sure can't wait to hold this baby girl!! Xo:)
