Happy 1st birthday sweet Annelise!!

My sweet little Annelisey girl is O-N-E!! Time slow down!! It is so surreal to me that she is already a year old. In fact, both Jess, james and I have been guilty of referring to Joel as a her because it doesn't seem possible that time can pass so quickly. Granted most people do not have two new babies in the same year!;)
This little girl has QUITE the personality. She is always on the go. She is not really found of being held and cuddled but that's ok she's still a little sweetie. She smiles all the time. She is also a very determined little girl! She is quick to get into anything she is not suppost to and the "distraction method" does not work, she is always right back at it! She has just very recently started to walk, still very unsteadily, but at least 1/2 and 1/2 with crawling. She also loves to give her new baby bro kisses and that has to be the sweetest thing ever. She also loves to scream at the top of her lungs and throw fits ( just like her momma so I've been told!;) she loves her big bro and works so hard to keep up with him. She loves to go on walk and LOVES bath time!  This little girl also loves to eat! Especially big Bros food when he's not looking!;) We just love this little girl to pieces. She brings SO much joy to our lives. I am so thankful that God gave us this sweet little girl! I look so forward to watching her grow. I think the thing I love the most is how much she loves her daddy and brothers. There's just nothing quite like it! Happy happy birthday my sweet Annelise!! We just love you so much little cupiecake!!
I'm one!!

Joel Keith Phillips

He's finally here! Joel Keith Phillips was born Thursday, October 1, 2015. 8lbs 7.5oz and 21 in long.
Wow, this little guy had us on our toes the whole week before his birth. It started the Thursday before at my prenatal check up. I was 39 weeks and not showing any signs that labor was in the near future. So after mentioning to my midwife that I was suppost to be in my cousins wedding that coming weekend that I would try to be induced. I met jess at the hospital, got all checked in and was started on pitocin. We waited and talked, I had contractions but never progressed to anything major. So the next day they sent us home not wanting to do anything to progressive because of the wedding.
So it came time for the wedding weekend. I was really getting nervous for that Saturday. I had completely lost my mucas plug and was having some painful contractions. It came and went and was a wonderful day AND no baby yet! I hit the 40 week mark that monday and was getting really anxious! I had never been overdue with my other two babies. He was also measuring small according to my last sono so it seemed like a long waiting game! I had my another ob check that tues and I was a lot closer to labor. We decided to scheduale and induction for early Thursday morning if I was still not in labor. No labor yet, so jess and I headed to the hospital at about 11:30 weds night!:) we got admitted and started on pitocin by about 1 am thurs. I had contractions all night but was able to get a good amount of sleep through them. At 8 am my midwife came in to break my water. That's when things got real!;) contractions became a lot stronger. I got up and got in the shower for awhile and was feeling a lot of pressure. The nurse decided to check me. I had dialated from a 3 to a 5. Contractions became extremely intense and I felt really puckey. I sat on a birthing ball for about 20 min and then told the nurse I was feeling the urge to push. She checked me and I was an 8. I told her I needed to push anyways. The next contraction my body pushed on its own and I felt his head coming. I told the nurse and they called and on call dr to come in. Next contraction he was out!:) Joel was born at 10:55 Thursday morning. Active labor was only a little under 3 hours! The Lord was so good in his whole birth plan! I am so thankful for how He lead us in everything!:) this little guy may not have been planned by jess and I but he sure was by the Lord! We are so thankful for our newest little bundle of joy!

Happy 3rd birthday Sweet james

Wow, my baby is 3!! It is so hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that his infant and toddler years are gone and he is now an actual kid.*insert tears, lots of them* I even looked up toddler online the day before his bday wondering if I could get by with one more year of thinking of him as a toddler. Leave it to google to smash that thought down with a hammer. Nope it's confirmed, he's a kid a little boy now, a 3 year old! And what a sweet joy he has been in our lives for the past 3 years. This pic was on my timehop app yesterday. Oh my goodness how little and adorable is he. I remember sitting there watching him and snapping this pic like it was yesterday. In awe of my perfect brand new baby boy. He would smile and giggle like that in his sleep really young. He was only like a week old here. "So beyond blessed" is the only words that come to mind!

Then and now: yep this is a pretty typical james face. He's totally bummed because I told him he could eat his crayons any more.
**
**
These two LOVE each other and I LOVE that!! Best buds.

This is james on his bday enjoying his birthday doughnuts daddy picked up!

He also got a new (to us;) loader and boy is that a hit! He loves pushing all his toys, and his sister, around with the bucket.
**
**
On his actual bday we went out to tanners again with all james people. Aka both grandmas, his aunts and cousins. That was definitely a hit in his book. He kept telling me he was just so happy! Added bonus we also got to see his aunt Paula and cousin Noah by surprise!:)

70 weeks pregnant and summer fun

It's been quite a while since my last post. Life has a way of flying by! ESP with two little stinkers running around. Summer is officially in full bloom here and we are (mostly) loving it!:) The kids just keep growing and hitting different milestones. Especially Elise, babies tend to do that in this first year and it seems like it is flying. She started crawling a couple weeks ago and now is already getting ready to walk, pulling herself up on everything. Then promptly falling and getting hurt. Sometimes with a little help from bro!;) She's eating lots of big girl foods. We try to stay with mostly mushed up things as she tends to gag/ choke pretty easily.
My sweet baby James is going to be 3(?!?) in less than a month! It's so fun to watch them grow but is a little bittersweet as it happens so fast. Seems like just yesterday I was just about ready to give birth to him!:) he is still loving choo choo trains and is going to be having a thomas the train party this year. We are also so excited to be taking him to a neat play date in our area called "Day out with Thomas." You get to take a train ride on a Thomas train. He will be thrilled. We told him once he was potty trained he could take a train ride and so he's a bit overdue!;)

Here it is. 30 WEEKS!! Only 10 more weeks. Yay!! Can't wait to meet our baby boy! And yes, sadly, I can get bigger...and no there is only 1 in there. Promise!;) I've added it up. I am now a little shy of 70 weeks pregnant. With a little 2 month break inbetween. But that doesn't even count Bc I had to go through labor and delivery!;) this is no joke being this pregnant in the summer! Wowee

Babies testing out baby bros crib. Gotta break it in ya know!
**

We started on a project that we like to say just keeps giving. A month and a half ago we decided to bite the bullet and take our tub and surround down as there was some mold growing and we were having a hard time getting rid of it! The surrond was put in wrong so we had a small water leak going on. Not wanting it to get worse we took it out. Thankfully it was not to bad behind the tub. We (or should I say I;) thought since we already had the tub out now would be the perfect time to go ahead and put in our old cast iron claw foot tub that's been sitting in our basement. We had planned to do this project just not now! We tore out the closet and are moving the tub against the back wall making for a lot bigger bathroom. But there have been quite a few bumps in the road. Leaky plumbing, old radiator needing moved, plumbing needing moved, new floor, drywall, ect. Jess is such a trooper getting things done. We have our fingers crossed it will be semi done before baby comes!
**
**
We woke up to a flood in the kitchen one morning. There was a lose pipe or something that got bumped and started leaking under the floorboard and we didn't notice till the next morning. Oh well, we are just thankful that it didn't happen after the tile was put down! I will try to remeber to post some pics as the project goes.

Made a couple changes to james room to eventually make room for baby bro!

And last but not least this little girl turned 9 months old this week!
That's it for now! Have a great rest of summer!!

Baby num 3

We found out last week that baby number 3 is a BOY!! Yay!! We are so thankful the Lord is giving us another son! I can't wait to see that precious little face in person this September!:) He's not quite as active as the other 2 a least yet. But I'm definently starting to feel a lot more kicks and jabs in there! That's definently one of the best parts of pregnacy for me!

Bebes and bump update

Easter picture 2015
**
**
This past weekend Jess and I took the kiddos to the park for a picnic and some playtime. It was gorgeous weather out and we just couldn't get enough of it! Elise really enjoyed the swing!;) that baby loves to move!! I feel like she'll be crawling in no time. She is always rolling to her tummy and is trying get up on her knees! Gotta keep up with her big bro you know!
**
**
**
**
I can't believe this boy is 2&1/2!! Wow time flies. James especially loves going to the park. He loves the slide, swings and chasing squirrels!
**
**
Our park has all these little bridges and creeks. James loves running across the bridges as fast as he can and is always trying to get as close to the water as possible without actually standing in it! Mom almost had a heart attack every time!;)
**
**
Sunday I had a big craving for funnel cake. I had pinned a simple recipe for them awhile back so I thought I'd give it a try. Wow, they were good!  But of course after the first bite or two the oil and smell (weird I know) turned my tummy so jess and james had to help me out and eat the rest!;) this pregnacy the sickness part has seemed to hang on longer than with my other two?:/
**
**
This isn't the most recent bump picture. We were about 14&1/2 weeks. I am now 16+ weeks. My little Irish twins though! Ugh I can't wait to see them together!! I bet they'll be best of buds!! I think my favorite part of this pic is james trying to make the grand escape out the door!;)
How far along: 16+ weeks
How much weight gained: 5 lbs (plus still had a couple extra pounds from Elise. YIKES!)
Belly button on or out: In
Maternity clothes: Yep
Baby gender: should find out the 28th. I'm guessing boy.
Looking forward to: seeing baby on the ultrasound
Miss anything: my old clothes:( but ESP my energy. It's gone and nowhere to be found this pregnancy. It's all I can do to make it to naptime!
Well I think that's all for now! Happy hump day!!
