 Birth story:
I had been having contractions for a couple weeks up to her birth. Jess went to work in the morning on Saturday(18th) and got home around 12-1. We laid little James down for a nap and I hopped in the tub for a bit. I was not having strong contractions but still a few. I got out and sat in a chair scrolling Facebook waiting for Jess to come upstairs. I had a sharp contraction that felt also like it had broke my water ( kind of would remind you of a pin in a balloon.) at this point Jess had come up and I was going to take a nap. I stood up expecting water to come but nothing. I told Jess I was sure my water would have broke by that contraction and kind of didn't think much more about it. As I went to lay in bed my water broke. This was about 2 pm. I called mom so she could come to watch James and I also started having fairly strong contractions. We made it to the hospital by around 3:30. I was dilated to a 3/4 from a 2 at my last check up. I got up and walked and did some things to try to flip her around as she had been posterior.  I also got in the shower and kneeled down awhile. I think this must have been when she flipped and transition started. Contractions became extremely intense(more so than I remember with James) and I begged for an epidural. This was at about 6-6:30 id say and I was dialated to either 6 or 7. My nurse said it would be awhile before I could have one and I wondered how I could possibly do this for another 3 hours or so. I think my nurse knew I was almost there because at this point she called Dr Boyd to come. She gave me a med in my IV to take the edge off. It did i'd say but Jesse still loves saying the crazy things I said after getting the med!;) I dialated fully by 7:15-7:20 and pushed for 20-30 min and out came baby Annelise! She was 8lbs 7.3oz and 21 in. long. Never got that epidural!;) haha. Praise The Lord for this birth experience. We had a wonderful Dr and he helped things stay calm. Jess was sure a champ too!!;) Love that guy soo much!! We are so thankful to The Lord for everything just going wonderful!

Sleepless nights

Full Term:
Yep, we've officially hit that!! 37,38, and counting...:) I say that as I sit here at 4 in the morning because I can't sleep, due to this or that! I'm really trying to enjoy the end here...the calm before the storm. The big pregnant belly, those little baby kicks in my tummy, just James and mommy time, slee..ya no..that's not happening. At this point though, since I have to be up at night anyhoo, I'd sure rather be cuddling my newborn baby girl!!

Jess and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary this past week! WOW! For some reason it feels like it has been longer! A lot has changed though in these short years..got engaged, bought a house, got married, got pregnant with a baby boy, gave birth, snuggled a newborn, he hit milestones like rolling, then crawling, then walking, James had a first birthday and a second, found out The Lord was blessing us with another baby. Saw and felt another baby growing in my tummy. How can I complain! Life is so fast. These years will be over before you know it. I just pray I can be thankful for the sleepless nights..it gives me more time with these littles that are growing up SO QUICKLY!!
On that note have I mentioned I sure can't wait to hold this baby girl!! Xo:)

Baby girls nursery and changes to the dining room

Baby Girls Nursery:
Whelp here it is so far. Baby girls nursery. It's just about there, just needs a couple more finishing touches.
**
**
This giant mirror table was made by Jess. The mirror was actually given to us by some friends who were remodeling and the table is from a local flee market. Jess gave the mirror a frame and will then add some decorative trim to the top!:)

Changing station...oh and Piles of clean clothes;)

Really bad pic of her wardrobe.
I will try to add more pictures as I get stuff done! I can't believe it's coming so close! We are 35 weeks tomorrow!

Now on to the dining room! I made some changes in here mostly just to add some room. I added these two end chairs to the table and with the old set up that didint leave us with much room to walk. I decided to move the wardrobe to the wall where the fireplace was and the moved the fireplace to it's spot. I think I really like it. I'm still just playing around with things to find how I like it!:) opinions would be great!
**
**
The french doors on the back wall were my bday present this year from my hunny *swoon* (per my request of course;)
The long box on the buffet is actually a old tool chest I scored at a garage sale this week. My plan is to add some hydrangeas to it for fall!:)

Here's the fireplace on this wall. I really like it here! We had eventually wanted to open up our staircase(which would be this wall) but decided against it as it would take away a lot of this houses original detail.

And last but not least...these are plans I have drawn up for the wardrobe in the dining room. I have just never been a fan of the whole look of this piece but it does have great "bones" so I will go from there. It also is eventually going to replace the baby wardrobe in baby girls room bc her room does not have a closet and that's just not going to fly for a girl!;)
I will hopefully be back next week to show some pics of our fall decor this year!:) ~Kelsey :)

James Toddler Room

We can't believe how big our sweet boy is getting! He turned two this month AND this past weekend transitioned to his toddler bed! I am so thankful how smoothly that has gone so far! He hasent even hopped out once. I think he kind of loves it. He was so cramped in his pack and play. I will say I enjoy being able to (kind of) crawl into bed with him in the morning when he is just waking up. It is quite the task with this giant belly though!;)
In honor of his big milestone I thought I'd share his toddler room so far. Jess got a lot hung up in here for me this weekend, finally!:) haha
I will be adding a white ceramic deer head in the frame above his bed. I ordered off of zulily so it could be Christmas before it up!;) I would also like to add either a Pom Pom or flag banner to that same wall.
**
**
Here is his teepee/ book reading wall. I am planning on adding a tree branch hanging from the ceiling above the teepee and also another frame in the "collage" already there with cloud and a moon stuffed pillows in them. Also making the fireplace into a bookshelf and painting the brown child's chair white!
**
**
Here's his school desk!:) we are planning on making most of this wall into a chalkboard!

Shelves daddy made for him!:)

We'll that's about it for now! I will hopefully get up some more pics once things are done!
