Changes to the dressing room

I'm back with some updates on my dressing room!:) Some of you may remeber the oh-so-lovely but covered by that awful polka doted, contact paper, type-crazy-stuff (before pics below)...well it finally got it's long overdue makeover this past week! *YAY* 

Here's the finished project below:

It is painted a very pale pink (marzipan pink from Menard's) with mercury glass knobs from good ole Hobby Lobby!!:)

Vanity lamps from a local French type farmers market (Moss Avenue) for 10 bucks

Now for a little more changes:

This adorable little punch-out tea set from an old Pleasant Company Angelina Ballerina book.

I also changed out the rod iron full sized bed for this much smaller twin sized princess style bed! I LOVE it much more in this space. So much more room too!! I am picturing a cute tassel garland above the bed.

Snow Cream

So if anyone hasent noticed! We have a ton of snow outside here in IL. I have been seeing all these recipes for "snow cream." All seemed to have the same simple ingredients so I gave it a whirl. Man was it GOOD!!  

Snow Cream Recipie:

Alls you need are these few simple items..

About 1 C of milk or cream

1/2 C sugar

Sprinkle of salt

Maybe 1 tbs vanilla

Add fresh clean snow to mixture until ice cream consistency and there you have it!

Hello 2014

Hello 2014, WOW! We have been blessed...I know, everyone reflects over the past year at this time of the new year. So obviously I have been...SO MUCH...this week...James first steps, words, hugs&kisses, birthday...another delightful year of firsts. I'm sad to be leaving that behind but am so excited to look into the Lords plans for our life in this new year!  

     So I thought I'd also share some of what the J Phillips have been up to this Christmas/New Years season. Yesterday we had a big Christmas/New Years party  for some friends and HAD.A.BLAST!!

Now for something completely random:

Merry Christmas to me! The Anthro carousel clock I was dying to have!! **hearts in my eyes**  yes it actually tells time!:) goes great in the toyroom!:)
